Dear Charles Means, I asked Means Painting to come out and do my living room and hallway a different color. The problem was I wasn’t sure what I wanted. From the very beginning, Charles helped me select a good color, test it, and then had his crew come out and paint it on my hectic schedule. Wow! In less then 4 hours, I had an outstandingly painted living room, its just awesome to be in now.. Dear Mr. Means, Charles Means was prompt, professional, courteous and responsive. He set up his appointment and showed up right on schedule. His research into the various paints was above and beyond as well as his efforts to ensure that all repairs were done properly. His estimate was detailed and the price was fair considering the amount to be done. His brother Larry led the crew that accomplished the work and they did and outstanding job! Charles assured me that the job would not be “done” until I said it was done. He required no money up front and was on absolute pleasure to deal with. About 6 weeks everything was still okay. Charles and Larry Means are brothers who own Means Painting. In 2005, I noticed Larry painting a neighbors house and asked him to give me a quote. I was contacted by Charles Means who provided me with a reasonable quote for the exterior painting and the repair of a water damaged sheet-rock ceiling on a large covered patio. We scheduled the work and Larry and his crew arrived as planned. They power washed everything, replaced some boards around several window boxes, caulked and painted with SWP super paint. The painting included 3 roof dormers, a wrought iron fence, and decorative wrought iron on the front of the house using oil based paint. The next major job was a large covered patio ceiling which had a “popcorn” finish that was peeling off due to water damage. The damage required replacing some of the sheet rock and patching where required. They covered the patio for scraping the old finish and applying the new finish. We contacted Means Painting to get an estimate for repainting the exterior of our home. We chose Means Painting to do the work, they completed the job, were very professional and kept everything very clean. They were very detail oriented and went the extra mile for us. I would highly recommend Means Painting! Means Painting came out and provided an estimate to paint the exterior of our 1500 sq ft home. Charles Means contacted us promptly and provided the estimate within a few days of our request. The estimate was fair and provided in writing. We scheduled with Means Painting and they told us a day they thought would work based on weather. The day before our scheduled day an employee came by and pressure washed the exterior of the home to get ready for painting the next day. Means Painting arrived promptly the next morning and began prepping the house for painting. They sanded, caulked, taped and protected plants and other items in the yard. The painting was completely very well and we could not be happier with the work. They even repainted our front door and shutters at no charge! Charles Means kept us updated throughout the day and made sure we were aware of the status of the job. Upon completion, they conducted a walk through with us to make sure there were no issues that needed to be addressed. My husband and I were looking to place our house on the market; however we wanted to paint the entire interior of our home in addition to having some repair work done before we listed our home. Charles Means was referred to us by friends. My first meeting with Charles was an absolute pleasure. He was extremely polite and courteous and very knowledgeable of the business. Charles provided us with a free in-home estimate, and offered us wonderful and helpful suggestions to prepare our home. He even helped us pick a paint color, which was relief!
